    We have a great opportunity! We are looking for a Mechancical Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Monsey, NY

    As our Mechancical Quality Assurance Engineer, you will provide quality assurance support to the product development team, by testing systems and procedures to ensure they meet technical standards and creating quality and safety documentation.

    You will identify technical issues and get to the root causes and proactively recommend effective solutions to resolve defects and help to improve product durability and overall performance of all electro-mechanical assemblies such as electronics enclosures and consoles for the Defense Industry.

    Location: Monsey, NY

    Salary Information: $78,800.00 - $110,000.00

    Your Challenge:

    • Reviews design plans, process procedures, test procedures, and quality manuals to understand the scope, requirements, and function of products.

    • Ensures products meet the organizations and customers' quality and product integrity requirements.

    • Supports product development and operations team by providing analysis and expertise throughout the inspection process.

    • Identifies root causes of problems in the production process; recommends and/or implements corrective action measures.

    • Analyzes data to identify trends in product quality or defects with the goal of mitigating and preventing recurrence and future defects.

    • Review quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

    • Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.

    • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate quality testing activities.

    • Set detailed guidelines on what needs to be checked and what the quality standards are.

    • Update our Quality Management System (QMS) with incidents, fixes and improvements.

    • Audit our systems based on AS 9100 and ISO 9001requirements.

    • Determine quality metrics for all manufacturing procedures. Monitor the entire production cycle and perform regular tests to identify potential malfunctions as early as possible.

    • Review current blueprints and quality documentation.

    • Set and track quality assurance goals.

    • Coordinate with external quality assurance auditors and technicians to ensure legal compliance.

    • Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the products.

    What You Bring:

    • A minimum of Five (5) years of professional work experience in the quality assurance field in a manufacturing setting and in a fast-paced work environment dealing with electronics enclosures and consoles or in a similar position.

    • Knowledge of Welding and AWS Codes.

    • Familiar with MIL Standards and NAVSEA technical Publications aligned to welding.

    • Proven ability to manage, understand and apply AS 9100 and ISO 9001 values relative to Quality Services.

    • Bonus: Familiarity or certification in IPC 620 and/or J-STD 001 and their associated acceptance criteria.

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline from a recognized accredited University is required.

    • *A Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline is considered a plus.
