    The Opportunity

    The Paid Digital Marketing Specialist is a newly created role within the Digital Marketing team at Ally. This individual will be tasked with helping us execute our in-house support of digital marketing with activations across multiple channels and lines of business. The ideal candidate also has previous hands-on-keyboard execution experience either from agency or advertiser direct experience.

    The successful candidate will possess a track record of precision and accuracy when it comes to dissecting the elements of a digital direct buy to ensure successful launch and measurement. This person will have to partner with various teams across the organization, including Ad Ops, Strategy, Creative, Analytics, etc in addition to external platform and publisher partners. They will also need to be process oriented as we grow this program's scope over the next year.

    Ally work locations are Charlotte NC or Detroit MI - Hybrid work schedule 3 days in office and 2 from home.

    The Work Itself

    • Partner with the media strategy teams to decode the digital components of sponsorships and direct buys to ensure accurate trafficking setup and execution
    • Responsible for setting up and troubleshooting of digital campaigns across various media types such as video, display, email and audio line items, inclusive of creation of placement and packages in ad tech platforms, like Prisma and GCM as well as campaign set up in programmatic DSP and paid social ad manager platforms
    • Handle the day-to-day operational tasks, including media research and analysis, media planning, buying, campaign administration and reporting in partnership with media strategy team
    • Create and manage media budgets and flowcharts, insertion orders, pacing, billing and media vendor contacts
    • Collect and analyze data, identify trends and proactively communicate insights ensuring positive KPIs across different lines of business and campaigns
    • Collaborate with internal and external partners to present learnings and maximize the value of the programs
    • Adhere to and maintain a testing plan to maximize investment value and traffic, share insights with brand, media, and creative teams
    • Continually learn, advancing skills and knowledge of online advertising, financial services, and competitive trends. Share new developments with the team and how to leverage them.
    • Interact with outside vendors and external business partners regarding various facets of client media activity, such as media authorizations, billing, insertion orders and report procurements

    The Skills You Bring

    • Bachelor's degree in marketing or relevant field of study preferred
    • 1+ years online paid digital marketing experience required as a campaign analyst, ad operations specialist, marketing coordinator, media planner/buyer, account manager or hybrid; other online advertising background a plus
    • Previous experience working with ad tech such as an ad server (GCM), Prisma, CRM, SEM tools, DSP or paid marketing platform highly recommended
    • Familiarity with online analytics measuring last-touch or multi-touch attribution in the digital, programmatic and paid social landscape, including mobile-measurement partners
    • Proven track record to successfully manage internal and external partner relationships
    • Strong MS Excel abilities, including the ability to use formulas, functions & pivot tables. Tableau, Datorama, and SQL are a plus.
    • Understanding of A/B and multivariate testing
    • Familiarity with statistics and online advertising metrics
    • Proficient in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
    • Positive and productive interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
    • Detail oriented with a commitment to strong results

    Emerging: 55000

    Experienced: 67500

    Expert: 80000

    Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan
