    Description:

    Treasury Data Analytics team is part of American Express Global Treasury organization and is responsible for supporting the Treasury with their data analysis needs. The team acts as a center of excellence for big data analytics and rapid development for the broader Treasury organization. In fulfilling their responsibilities, this team develops, executes, and documents several analytical frameworks and methodologies used in various functions in the Treasury. Liquidity risk management, capital management, asset-liability management, and cash management are some of the main internal clients of this team. The team also participate in Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) and Internal Capital Adequacy Process (ICAAP) and collaborates with various business partners within the American Express Finance organization, as well as with 2nd and 3rd line oversight groups.

    Responsibilities:

    • Development, maintenance, execution and documentation of various analytical frameworks

    • Support Treasury liquidity risk management, capital management, asset-liability management, and cash management teams with their analytical needs

    • Participate in different forecasting activities using various quantitative models and techniques

    • Participate in firm-wide CCAR stress testing

    • Collaborate with other modeling and analytical teams within American Express Finance

    • Communicate analysis results internally and incorporate stakeholders feedbacks

    • Interact with the internal oversight teams

    Requirements:

    • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematic, Operation Research, Engineering) or MBA degree with proven analytical and quantitative skills

    • 2 years of relevant work experience preferred

    • Knowledge and experience with financial analysis and valuation using various techniques and large datasets

    • Deep understanding and experience with various machine learning techniques such as Gradient Boosting and Prophet

    • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, and familiarity with Hive, Spark and Yellowbrick

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

    • Experience in writing technical documentation

    • Strong communication skills

    Qualifications

    Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits

    Depending on factors such as business unit requirements, the nature of the position, cost and applicable laws, American Express may provide visa sponsorship for certain positions.
