    The Logistics Specialist works with Corporate Logistics to oversee and coordinate activities of all third- and fourth-party logistics providers to meet execution focused supply chain goals and to drive continuous improvement throughout the logistics network through performance management and provider selection processes

    *Please note - The preferred location for this position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware with a preferred hybrid work model. 2-3 days in office, 2-3 days work from home. Relocation is being provided for this role if needed. Remote location will be considered also.


    • Provides input and executes logistics strategies to maximize the business benefit of corporate logistics resources/contacts/scale

    • Integrates logistics plans and tactics with S&OP processes: Ensures logistics capabilities are aligned with demand and supply plans, costs, and outlooks; Determines gaps to plan and develops/ executes improvement plans to meet Supply Chain needs

    • Develops and maintains documentation of business requirements for logistics services - defined scopes of work - to enable competitive selection and to manage performance of logistics providers.

    • Arranges and coordinates transportation assets and services to meet supply chain requirements such as the transportation equipment fleet including ISO tanks, railcars, tank-trailers.

    • Monitors the day-to-day activities of the contract logistics functions (e.g.: Freight Forwarders, Integrators, 3PLs, contract warehousing, etc.) for the business to ensure needs are being met

    • Ensures logistics practices and activities comply with company policies and are compliant with all government and industry regulations

    • Coordinates the investigation, root-cause analysis, and resolution of transportation safety incidents, complaints, and claims to drive continuous improvement of transportation providers and recover losses.

    • Documents and utilizes logistics best practices and procedures.

    • Participates in and supports the logistics Outlook and PO processes.

    • Provides transportation cost information and logistics advice through collaboration with the S&L organization, 3PLs, business teams, and site personnel.

    • Leads improvement projects in the Logistics area - transportation and warehousing

    • Monitors and reports on logistics critical operating tasks (COTs) for performance improvement and cost savings.

    • Collaborates with logistics, business supply chains, and regional logistics resources to optimize end-to-end processes within the supply chain

    • Analyzes logistics performance and cost reports to identify root cause for anomalies or items outside of target objectives and identify corrective actions/improvement opportunities

    • Risk management/ contingency planning - Identifies logistics risks throughout the supply chain, develops and executes contingency plans to address potential risks

    • Manages communication with external and internal stakeholders

    • Manages multiple projects and programs simultaneously, prioritizes tasks, and meets deadlines


    • BS/BA degree or above or Equivalent experience

    • 3-4 years of manufacturing, contract manufacturing, procurement, project leadership, supply chain, logistics experience required.

    • Six Sigma principles with Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or Black Belt Certification preferred

    • Experience utilizing SAP preferred

    • Experience using Advanced Planning Optimizer (APO) or Business Warehouse (BW) preferred

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    • Strong time management skills required

    • APICS CPIM certification preferred

    • Must be able to work independently

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects/priorities
