Java Developer

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an experienced Java Developer to join an established packaging technology solutions company sitting hybrid in the Atlanta, GA area. In this role, the Java Developer will be responsible for enhancing customer-facing ecommerce applications, providing production support, performing application upgrades, and other ad hoc tasks.

This application is a consumer-facing ecommerce website with high traffic. The site is developed but will require additional development, production support, and additional ad hoc support. Because of this, it's important that this individual be comfortable in an ambiguous environment and be willing to partake in various projects like replatforming, server upgrades, site upkeep, running reports/SQL queries, etc.

Communication and stakeholder management is also a meaningful component to this role, so this individual must also be comfortable in a highly collaborative environment that requires frequent communication.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of Java development (Java and Struts preferred but will accept Spring so long as there is willingness to transition to Struts)

• 5+ years of experience supporting customer-facing sites/apps

• 3+ years shell scripting experience with foundation in Linux (Linux is in VMware and not in cloud)

• 3+ years experience working with RESTful APIs and web services

• Strong experience working in agile environment - Ansible proficiency

• Experience with Performance/Load testing

• Experience with .NET/Azure

• Cloud experience null
