Java Cloud Programmer

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Java Cloud Programmer to join one of our largest financial clients onsite 1-3x a week in New York, NY or Jersey City, NJ. They will be a part of the Technology Services Group that is focusing on a new initiative centered around advancing the public cloud across their application structures. They will be joining the team within this group that is responsible for all cloud engineering at the bank. They provide a variety of products and services, mostly IAAS, for groups across the bank. Because of this, the team needs a strong hands on programmer to help with the provisioning of infrastructure and maintenance of code on these products and services. On a day to day, this team works on a variety of technologies -- microservices in Java, Terraform module development, Python scripting, and use of Azure for their complete cloud environment. Thus it is imperative, that this person is a true technologist and is well versed in the above.

Skills and Requirements

-7+ years of experience working as a programmer

-Strong hands on Java application development background/full life cycle development experience

-Experience working within a cloud environment and understanding of Azure Cloud (open to AWS or GCP)

-Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field -Hands on experience with Terraform -- understand how Terraform modules work, build infrastructure with Terraform, understand coding language of Terraform

-Use of modern and upcoming technologies null
