LRS Consulting Services is seeking a IT Project Manager for a 6-9 month contract opportunity that will extend into a permanent position with our client in Brentwood, TN!

Primary Duties:
Creates and executes cross-functional IT project work plans
Manages large IT projects and/or programs with subordinate IT projects across various disciplines to include software development, systems and infrastructure
Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope, while applying our methodology and enforcing project standards
Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
Prepares for gate-check reviews and applies quality assurance procedures
Minimizes our exposure and risk on projects
Ensures project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately
Manages project budget, tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis; provides budget forecasts; analyzes variance
Leads planning efforts including project scope, requirements and LOE assessments
Communicates with team, to include: holding status meetings, providing updates to leadership and delivering presentations
Provides formal updates to Executive level management
Serves in a leadership role to providing guidance and development to team members, to include: mitigating team conflict and communication problems and planning and facilitating regular team activities
Manages their direct staff's workload and performance
Provides mentorship to their direct staff and develops personal growth opportunities
Conducts effective performance evaluations of their direct staff through formal channels
Other duties as required and assigned
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute of higher education required; focus in Information Technology, Project Management or Business Administration preferred
PMP Certification
Minimum 5 years related experience
Experience in estimation, budgeting, procurement of IT equipment and software, technology vendor statements of work, contracts and agreements
Experience creating technical project plans with Project Management software required, Microsoft Project Server preferred
Experience with Agile methodologies for software development projects preferred
Experience leading Scrum sessions and other technical cross-functional workgroups
Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and experience with incorporating all phases in project plans
Knowledge of general principles of networking to include LAN/WAN/wireless and equipment
Knowledge of general principles of database systems, servers and operating systems
Experience in vendor relations and managing contractors assigned as project resources
Experience in creating technical flowcharts and other process diagrams
PC literate with high proficiency in software to include Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Visio
Essential Skills:
Ability to manage multiple technical projects in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of project management best practices, resource acquisition, and management
Ability to manage a small staff's workload, prioritization and mentorship, while also managing individual assigned projects and programs
Ability to manage teams and facilitate cross-functional technical meetings and workgroups effectively, to include internal and external customers
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies
Colorado salary range - $20/hr to $125/hr
