    DSM-Firmenich is seeking a talented and experienced IT Business Systems Analyst that will serve as the bridge between the Digital & Technology (D&T) department and the Science Research & Innovation (SR&I) business units within our organization. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their needs, align technology solutions with business objectives, and drive the successful implementation and execution of IT initiatives. Your role will be pivotal in driving digital transformation, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering innovation within the organization.

    Your key responsibilities

    • Serve as a liaison between the Digital & Tech (D&T), Science Research & Innovation (SR&I), and vendors to bridge the gap between technology and business needs. Collaborate with SR&I stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements for IT solutions, including software applications, systems, and tools.

    • Facilitate the adoption of new IT solutions within the SR&I department by providing training, documentation, and support to end-users. Establish and implement best practices regarding internal system maintenance, security, licensing, change management, improvements, data integrity, etc.

    • Acquire and maintain a broad and deep understanding of SR&I's internal and cross-departmental system integrations. Conduct in-depth analysis of SR&I processes, workflows, and methodologies to identify areas for improvement and optimization through technical solutions.

    • Work with IT architects and developers to design innovate and cost-effective IT solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of SR&I projects and initiatives.

    • Application Portfolio Management: Build strong relationships within SR&I to gain an understanding of software portfolio use and needs.

    • Assist in project planning, scoping, and prioritization, ensuring alignment with SR&I objectives, timelines, and budgets.

    You bring

    • Proven experience (4-5 years) as a Business Analyst or IT consultant, preferably in the R&D domain.

    • Experience working in multi-location environment. Minimum 2 years delivering projects within the R&D business area.

    • Bachelor' Degree in Information Systems or equivalent job experience will be considered.

    • Approximately 20% , frequent visits to Princeton, NJ and New York City, NY sites with flexibility to occasionally travel to Columbia, MD and Lexington. MA

    • Strong understanding of R&D processes, methodologies, and best practices.

    • Solid technical background and understanding of IT systems, applications, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
