An Inventory Specialist is needed for one of the world's largest power management and power generation services companies in the Mission, TX area. The role involves efficiently managing procurement processes, ensuring accurate inventory management, maintaining positive vendor relationships, and supporting warehouse operations while adhering to corporate policies and promoting a safe work environment.

responsibilities

• Review purchase requisitions for accuracy, including supplier, quantity, price, and cost center/general ledger account coding.

• Create and track purchase orders.

• Manage requests for proposal (RFP), bid evaluation, and vendor selection processes for key purchases.

• Negotiate key contract terms (e.g., specifications, price, quantity, shipping, terms & conditions).

• Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to Corporate policies and procedures.

• Maintain positive vendor relations.

• Receive items into inventory upon arrival at the Plant, verifying items received with shipping documents and purchase orders.

• Demonstrate broad, in-depth, and up-to-date knowledge regarding Plant equipment.

• Look for opportunities to use and expand knowledge, skills, and experience.
