    We offer students the opportunity to spend a summer working at one of Securitas' US Operating Centers. This internship program offers undergraduate students with real-world application of business within the North America Shared Services organization. You will participate in a 12 to 15-week internship located in Parsippany, New Jersey for 30-40 hours per week.

    As an IT PMO Intern, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to real-world projects and gaining valuable experience in the field of project management. You will have an opportunity to share new perspectives, fresh ideas, specialized strengths, and technical skills to help grow our business. You will also have an opportunity to present an End-of-Assignment Presentation on the topics you have learned.

    Successful completion of the internship program could lead to a return internship for the following summer or employment at the organization in the future.

    JOB SUMMARY: Intern will gain valuable work experience and skills supporting the PMO team and work closely with IT and other departments.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Specific duties include:

    • Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements if necessary

    • Evaluate potential problems and technical hitches and develop solutions

    • Plan and manage team goals, project schedules and new information

    • Supervise current projects and coordinate all team members to keep workflow on track

    • Manage project-related artifacts by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored

    • Direct project correspondences by preparing and reviewing project proposals, memos, meeting minutes and emails

    • Communicate with internal resources to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

    Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.

    • High School Diploma/GED

    • College student majoring in related field

    COMPETENCIES: (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing ):

    • Good communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships

    • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

    • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities

    • Documentation management and ability to use project management tools

    • Attention to details even under pressure

    • Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

    Working Conditions and Physical/Mental Demands:

    With or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions. In addition to other demands, the demands of the job include:

    • Maintaining composure in dealing with executives, clients, prospects, and staff, in group settings and in situations requiring high performance and results.

    • Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey.

    • Handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential information.

    • Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.

    • Regular use of vehicle required in the performance of duties.

    • Regular talking and hearing.

    • Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

    • Occasional local and regional/national travel for presentations, meetings, and visits.

    • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

    • Hybrid work, with 3 days in Parsippany, NJ office
