    We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Individual Insurance Team, specifically on Travel Insurance team. As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will designs, develops, tests, delivers, maintains and improves business applications as a member of a team, works across full-stack through entire software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing production software, proficiency in Azure, Cloud infrastructure, and a passion for coaching and training engineers.

    On the job you will:

    • Design, develop, test, deliver, maintain, and improve business applications as a member of a team.

    • Build, code, test, maintain high quality software.

    • Participates in the Agile ways of working.

    • Translates user requirements into software requirements.

    • Applies creative problem solving that bring software designs to life.

    • Completes and ensures completion of any required documentation required e.g. deployment, maintenance, support, and business needs.

    We are looking for someone with: ?

    • 5+ years Full Stack experience

    • Computer Science Graduate or equivalent professional experience

    • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps principles, test-driven development, continuous integration, and other approaches to accelerate the delivery of new features.

    • Writes clear, readable, and maintainable code, takes ownership of the quality and usability of codes.

    • Collaborative attitude, willingness to work with team members, participate in code reviews, shares skills and methods.

    • Strong problem-solving ability

    Technologies: Technology varies across our squads offering flexibility for Full Stack Engineers with diverse skills and interests

    • Languages - NodeJS, JavaScript,REACT, and/or similar languages)

    • Write Unit Test cases using JEST and other tools

    • DevOps and APIs (Jenkins, Snyk, and AKS)

    • SQL and NoSQL DB (MongoDB)

    • Cloud platform (Azure, APIM, AKS)

    • Jira for task management, GitHub for source control

    The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

    Primary Location

    Waterloo, Ontario

    Salary range is expected to be between

    $74,270.00 CAD - $137,930.00 CAD
