Fixed Asset Accountant

Description

We are in the search for a diligent Fixed Asset Accountant to join our clients team in the Food industry located in Turlock, California. The incumbent will primarily be responsible for reviewing and reconciling fixed asset activities, maintaining asset valuations, and ensuring compliance with ASC 842 lease accounting. This role also involves managing property tax payments, tracking capital projects, and handling farm accounting. If interested contact: Edgar Gonzalez ~~~

Responsibilities

• Oversee all fixed asset activities including depreciation and other related journal entries

• Reconcile all fixed asset and accumulated depreciation general ledger accounts

• Handle the processing of all capitalized assets through the fixed asset system, Sage

• Maintain asset valuation in multiple depreciation books

• Ensure compliance with ASC 842 lease accounting regulations

• Manage property tax payments and file necessary paperwork with each county

• Track on-going capital projects for accuracy, budget adherence, and completion

• Record transactions and track all activities for farm accounting

• Record and post journal entries for amortization

• Assist in special projects as needed.
