Facilities Engineer

Description:

• Performing repairs and preventive maintenance with good overall knowledge of building mechanical systems in the areas of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, pneumatic or direct digital controls, energy management system operation, in addition to fire & life safety systems.

• HVAC; performs or assists in mechanical service repairs on HVAC equipment in addition to monitoring equipment performance ensuring optimum efficiency, change air filters, belts, drive sheaves, cleans coils, condensate pans, lubrication of bearings, adjusts thermostats, air volume diffusers, pressure or temperature control regulators, and energy management system components as determined.

• Electrical; general knowledge of building electrical ladder diagrams and schematics, knowledge and use of electrical meter testing equipment, to include voltages, amperage, ohms. Replaces lighting ballast, switches, receptacles, sockets, solenoids, relays, wiring, fuses, miscellaneous conduits, and fittings, etc.

• Perform rounds of critical environment hardware documenting operating conditions. i.e. electrical switchgear, generators, uninterrupted power supplies, static transfer switches, power distribution units, precision air conditioners.

• Respond to general and emergency alarm notification via the sites building control system.

Shift: 3pm-11pm

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Must have 5-10 years of experience as a building engineer.

• Must have experience working in a tenant occupied building.
