Currently, we are looking for a Expedite Strategic Operations Analyst to join the ArcBest team. The Expedite Strategic Operations Analyst develops customer relationships to maintain and grow expedite accounts for the purpose of increasing our market share within them. This position generates price quote requests and shipments predominantly through direct phone calls to and from existing and potential customers or through collaboration with the Expedite Operations team as needs are developed. The Expedite Strategic Operations Analyst defines the service requested, determines ArcBest's ability to meet the need, identifies the market rate to perform the service, and establishes an acceptable target price for the service in question. This position offers a high degree of responsibility and exposure to numerous aspects of the transportation business, including pricing, sales, marketing, and all modes of freight movement.

Your contribution may include

• Contact targeted accounts without limits upon sales territories to grow expedite market share within new and existing accounts.

• Cold call and develop leads for new expedite business.

• Build relationships and directly communicate with customers to identify new opportunities.

• See customer challenges through to resolution as identified.

• Design execution requirements and instill confidence in the company's ability to meet agreed upon requirements.

• Provide market-competitive quotes for ArcBest customers with a focus on maintaining profitability and market share while making pricing decisions on multiple-quote scenarios and providing rates to customers on an electronic bid board, where applicable.

• Have a strong competency in customer engagement across multiple verticals and all channels of communication.

• Maintain a positive attitude in an intense environment while providing industry leading customer solutions and service.

• Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As a Expedite Strategic Operations Analyst, you will be a member of the ArcBest Expedite team in Fort Smith, AR. Your hours will vary based on scheduling, with irregular hours that may occur depending on workload. Market coverage is provided from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Education: Bachelor's degree, preferred.

Experience: Minimum, three years' experience as a Logistics Specialist or similar role in sales, operations, or related field, preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
