    PNNL's Human Resources organization is comprised of ~120 plus committed professionals working to advance the interests of the lab and support scientific discovery and excellence.     We are on a mission to find an Executive Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team!

    Reporting to the Recruiting Team Leader, the Executive Recruiter is responsible for the sourcing, screening, and presenting qualified candidates for senior leadership positions. The Executive Recruiter networks online and offline with potential candidates to promote our employer brand, reduces our time-to-hire and ensures we attract top talent. The Executive Recruiter will also support other areas and positions of the lab, as needed.

    This position is a hybrid position and required to be on-site in Richland, WA at least 2 days a week.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with hiring managers, including senior leaders and lab leadership, to develop and execute strategic executive recruitment plans to attract top talent and fill leadership positions within the organization.

    • Collaborate with hiring managers and senior leadership to understand business objectives and develop a deep understanding of the desired candidate profile for each position.

    • Conduct market research and levearge talent insights in facilitating and leading recruitment strategy discussions with hiring managers and senior leaders.

    • Continuously review and improve recruitment processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in identifying, engaging, and attracing top executive talent.

    • Build and maintain a talent pipeline of executive talent and network of potential candidates through ongoing relationship management.

    • Develops candidate generation strategies.

    • Devise and carry out targeted research strategies

    • Research into client's company, competitors and market place.

    • Specializes in identifying and attracting senior level leadership talent.

    • Leads complex search committee meetings engaging with key stakeholders.

    • Serve as a brand advocate by promoting PNNL as an employer of choice to attract high-caliber candidates.

    • Assess candidate resumes, conducts initial interviews and provides candidate assessment to evalute qualiications, experience, and alignment to the lab's mission and position requirements.

    • Presents applications/resumes of the most suitable candidates to the hiring leader; Arranges telephone, video, and/or in-person interview

    • Prepare, negotiate, and extend job offers to candidates

    • Serves as a subject matter expert for assigned positions and/or areas

    • Assists with the development and/or revision of job postings for selected positions and posts job postings to relevant media platforms; Identifies the most effective methods for recruiting and attracting candidates

    • Sources potential candidates on niche platforms such as LinkedIn, Seekout, Slack, Github, etc.

    • Champions diversity, equity, and inclusion through every aspect of the hiring journey.

    • Maintains contact with candidates to ensure excellent candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

    • Generates contacts by maintaining a presence in the technical/industry/community

    • Attends job fairs, industry conferences, meetups, etc. to network with potential candidate

    • Ensures compliance with all applicable employment laws and policies

    • Stays up to date with new technological trends, products, and industry best practices.

    • Serves as a mentor and resource to Talent Acquisition Team

    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • BS/BA and 7 years of relevant experience -OR-

    • MS/MA or higher and 5 years of relevant experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 2 years demonstrated experience as an executive recruiter

    • Experience in directly sourcing, mapping, and recruiting research of executive level talent

    • Professional license and/or certification in Talent Acquisition

    • Experience with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) and Candidate Management Systems (CMSs)

    HSPD-12 PIV Credential Requirement

To obtain this credential, new employees must successfully complete and pass a Federal Tier 1 background check investigation. This includes marijuana and cannabis derivatives, which are still considered illegal under federal law, regardless of state laws.
