    Northrop Grumman Missions Systems is seeking experienced Digital engineers to join our team of qualified, diverse subsystems I&T engineers supporting the Advanced Multifunction Subsystem programs in Baltimore, MD. Qualified candidate will provide leadership and support of subsystem integration, test and verification activities for programs utilizing the Next-Generation Advanced Real-Time Digital Control infrastructure.

    Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Supporting (and Leading as appropriate) RF and Digital Performance integrating antenna HW, SW and FW including hands-on involvement in support of complex integration events

    • Working with interdisciplinary teams to implement and integrate digital subsystems control functions e.g. Time Align and Data Late

    • Working with interdisciplinary teams to test and integrate various CCA/LRU firmware functionalities i.e., PCIe, ACI/RFIC Sequencers, Distributed Synchronizers, sFPDP, and FPGA-MCM communication

    • Developing integration and test plans for digital subsystems

    • Setting up test benches and executing comprehensive digital test plans & procedures

    • Participating in I&T readiness reviews and design reviews

    • Coordinating and supporting integration & test activities that may include flight test

    • Reviewing and evaluating test requirements to ensure completeness of test program

    • Performing analysis of test results and preparing comprehensive reports

    Experienced candidates will have experience designing, developing and/or testing RF and/or microwave antenna systems and/or related Digital hardware. Qualified candidates have the ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

    Basic Qualifications for a Principal Digital Integration & Test Engineer:

    • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience, a Master's degree with 0 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields; an additional 6 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

    • U.S. Citizenship is required

    • An active DoD Secret Security Clearance is required with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start.

    • Experience with lab test equipment: i.e.: function generator, oscilloscope, multi meter, network analyzer, etc.

    • Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex HW/SW integration problems

    • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment

    • Comfortable creating test support applications and tools using MATLAB, python, etc.

    • Familiarity working with embedded real time software and digital systems

    • Working knowledge of ACT-based products and digital control architectures

    • Working knowledge of embedded systems design and implementation

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Advanced degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields

    • U.S. Citizenship is required

    • An active DoD Secret Security Clearance is required with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start.

    • Experience working on Advanced Multifunction AESA Special Access Programs

    • Experience testing software written in C, C++ Experience in Subsystem requirements (hardware and software) derivation, flow-down, and configuration

    • Experience developing scripts in python to automate manual processes

    This position is contingent upon transfer of DoD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access (SAP) prior to starting.

    Salary Range: $91,600 - $137,400

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
