Summary: EKG Technician PRN

The EKG Tech is part of the overall health care team responsible for Cardiology related services. Responsible for performance of EKG. This includes the completion of high-quality tests, report generation, record keeping and all related support activities. Assists the physician and other health care professionals in related technical areas as needed. Functions independently with minimal or no supervision and, may coordinate others, as applicable.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• Required - High School or Equivalent; Preferred - Technical Diploma - Medical Assistant OR Preferred - Technical Diploma - Electrocardiography (EKG)

Credentials:

• Required - BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from Red Cross or American Heart Association

Experience:

• 1 year of post-graduate EKG or related experience required

Location: Morton Plant Hospital - Downtown Clearwater, FL

Status: PRN, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: Available for either: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM, and 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Shift: Shift 4

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

Weekend Work: Occasional

On Call: No
