Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the supervision of the department director, manager, or designee, the evoked potential tech obtains responses by means of an evoked potential machine from various areas of the neuro network for use in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders and/or for monitoring during surgery in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization

What qualifications you will need:

• Minimum of six months specialized training in evoked potential testing.

• Ability to perform EEG's. (EP Tech II must have at least one-year experience in all phases of non-invasive neurophysiology and/or have completed a minimum of 500 evoked potentials.

• Ability to read evoked responses.

• Current EP Tech I - EEG Tech I or II - registry available for EP.

• · Current EP Tech II - registry with American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) in EP.

• · Current Coordinator - ABRET registered in both EEG and EP.

• · Current BLS certification
