Director of Procurement

Jenny Bour with Robert Half is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Procurement! The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-volume procurement, a proven track record of managing teams, and deep expertise in procurement strategies and category management. The Director of Procurement will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain, ensuring efficient sourcing of materials and services, and driving cost savings initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's objectives and support its growth trajectory.

• Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive performance and foster a collaborative work environment.

• Oversee the entire procurement process, from vendor selection and negotiation to contract management and supplier relationship management.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement initiatives to optimize procurement processes and reduce expenses.

• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including production, engineering, and finance teams, to understand their procurement needs and develop tailored solutions.

• Monitor market trends and industry developments to stay informed about new opportunities, technologies, and best practices in procurement.

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required.

• 15+ years of experience working in procurement, with a strong background in category management and strategic sourcing.

• 7+ years of experience managing a procurement team, with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff to achieve departmental goals.

• Proven track record of success in high-volume procurement environments, preferably within the gaming or technology industry.

• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
