Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Competent knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics and diagnostic tools; some engine and component overhaul and repair; some electrical and electronic systems diagnostics and diagnostic tools; brakes and braking systems; transmissions and drivelines; can perform a quality PM inspection. Some knowledge of hydraulics and power lift systems; has the ability to diagnose and repair all classes of heavy-duty trucks/trailers bumper to bumper with limited supervision.

1) Required B technician tool set.

2). Class B CDL license required; Class A preferred

3) Five (5) ASE technician certifications.

· T-2 Diesel Engines

· T-3 Drive Train

· T-4 Brakes

· T-6 Electrical/Electronic Systems

· T-8 Preventive Maintenance Inspections

The essential functions of this role include

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time

• working up to 3 hrs of overtime per week

• working weekends

Skills

• Diesel mechanic (3 years of experience is preferred)

• diesel engine diagnostics (3 years of experience is preferred)

• component overhaul and repair (3 years of experience is preferred)

• electronic systems diagnostic (3 years of experience is preferred)

• Class B CDL License

• ASE T2 certified (1 year of experience is preferred)

• ASE T3 certified (1 year of experience is preferred)

• ASE T6 Certified (1 year of experience is preferred)

• transmissions and drivelines (3 years of experience is preferred)

• hydraulics and power lift sys (3 years of experience is preferred)
