    Job Summary

    Under the supervision of the Construction Superintendent, the position is responsible for managing all

    the aspects of Civil/Survey works of the Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Project. Overseeing and directing Civil/Survey works from conception to completion. Under general direction, has supervisory/lead responsibility over Civil/Survey personnel on Projects. Supervises all Civil construction-related activities and ensures compliance with Civil design; develops and maintains effective relationships with Subcontractors and Suppliers.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Responsibilities include maintaining Daily Log to noteworthy Civil/Survey works performed.

    • Evaluate all Civil Construction Drawings and ensure accuracy in implementation of same; maintains an effective Construction Execution Schedule (CES) for Civil construction activities.

    • Perform on-site visits and ensure compliance to all Project Civil Specifications and Guidelines.

    • Supervises the Civil/Survey works to ensure that they are carried out in accordance with the Contract.

    • Supervises the execution of the Civil/Survey works to ensure satisfactory execution.

    • Supervises and records any tests of Civil materials.

    • Ensures that up-to-date Record Drawings ("red lines") are maintained for Civil work-scope.

    • Ensures that progress photographs are recorded and maintained for Civil works.

    • Assures implementation of the Company's Safety Policy.

    • Notifies the Contractor and others of any hazardous situations.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to obtain U.S. Government driver's license.

    • Must possess high level leadership skills.

    • Must possess high level customer relations skills.

    • Must have knowledge of construction management processes, means, methods, building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.

    • Understanding of all facets of the construction process.

    EDUCATION

    • Minimum High School Diploma is required; an Associate or Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or equivalent is highly desired.

    CERTIFICATION

    • CST (Certified Survey Technician) from National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) or AssocRICS (Associate of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) / MRICS (Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) from Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)

    EXPERIENCE

    • Five (5) years minimum total experience in Construction Management with five (5) years as Supervisor or Superintendent of Civil Construction Projects.

    • Plus the following:

    • Three (3) years total experience in Surveying [Construction, Leveling, and Topographical], with 18 mos. as Survey Party Chief. Relevant experience in Cadastral Surveying (incl. Party Chief) also considered.
