Growing manufacturer south of Arkansas City, KS is seeking a Design Engineering Manager to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience with ProE/Creo. The manager will oversee a design team of 6 employees. Previous supervisory experience in a lean manufacturing environment required. Will provide relocation for the right candidate.

All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

responsibilities

• Oversee all functions of design team comprised of 6 employees

• Maintain and improve a system of drawing standards including manufacturing prints

• Maintain quality plan to ensure new products meet quality and timing requirements

• Schedule design reviews

• Maintain systems of calibration of tools, traceability, drawing control and root cause/corrective action

• Lead Kaizen events and ensure documentation of 5-S inspection

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or similar

• Excellent collaboration and interpersonal abilities

• Supervisory experience in manufacturing

• Lean manufacturing background

• Proficiency with software including ProE/Creo and MS Office
