PEDIATRIC DENTAL ASSOCIATES

POSITION SUMMARY

This position assists staff dentist in the performance of general dentistry practices such as diagnostic, operative, preventive, and other dental procedures during examination and treatment of patients. Work is performed under the supervision of a staff dentist, but routine duties are conducted without detailed instructions. Maintains effective working relationships among colleagues and dentists. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the mission and values of Bon Secours Health System.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of general dentistry as applied to assisting a dentist in the treatment and care of patients is essential.

2. Must have knowledge of the types of instruments and materials used in dentistry.

3. Ability to follow oral and written directions of dentist in exact detail, and ability to work effectively with pediatric patients

4. Demonstrated knowledge of the use of a variety of office equipment including but not limited to a personal computer, printer, typewriter, copier, fax machine, telephone and calculator.
