    Position Summary

    As a Data Migration Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless transition of data from legacy systems to one consolidated platform. You will be responsible for creating data deliverables, defining business terms, querying data, documenting technical attributes, gathering business rules, and meeting reporting requirements. Your expertise will be critical in documenting data flow within business processes, creating data maps, and developing data approaches and presentations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as you collaborate with stakeholders and demonstrate proficiency in leading data frameworks.

    Essential Duties

    • Create comprehensive data deliverables, including but not limited to business glossary, data catalog, data dictionary, and data mapping.

    • Define business terms and document technical attributes of the data to ensure accuracy and consistency.

    • Query data from various applications and databases to extract relevant information for migration purposes.

    • Meet with business users to gather and document business rules, ensuring alignment with project objectives.

    • Gather reporting requirements and translate them into actionable data migration plans.

    • Document data flow within business processes to facilitate the understanding of data movement and dependencies.

    • Develop data maps to illustrate the gathering and collection of data throughout its lifecycle.

    • Create data approaches and presentations to communicate migration strategies effectively.

    • Apply knowledge of leading practice data frameworks to drive best practices and optimize data migration processes.

    • Utilize excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

    • Leverage insurance industry experience to address specific requirements and challenges within the domain.

    • Utilize experience with Statutory Reporting, if applicable, to enhance project outcomes.

    • Adhere to project timelines and deliver high-quality results within defined parameters.

    Position Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

    • 5 years of relevant experience for a Data Migration Analyst; 6+ years of relevant experience for a Senior Data Migration Analyst.

    • Proven experience in data migration projects, with a strong understanding of data management principles.

    • Demonstrated expertise in creating data deliverables, documenting business rules, and gathering reporting requirements.

    • Experience with Oracle R12 a big plus.

    • Proficiency in querying data from various applications and databases.

    • Familiarity with data mapping techniques and tools.

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.

    • Knowledge of leading practice data frameworks and their application in real-world scenarios.

    • Experience in the insurance industry is highly desirable.

    • Experience with Statutory Reporting is a plus.

    • Ability to mentor and supervise junior team members.

    Salary range $60-$90/hr W2. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
