CytoMolecular Technologist ( FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE)

I have an opening at leading health solutions firm looking for a Cytomolecular Tech !!!!

Schedule: Flexible with their start time.

Ideal shift: 10am - 7pm ( could start a bit earlier, leave a bit earlier)

M-F Shift and an occasional Saturday (rarely work Saturdays)

Description

Must have a valid NY Medical or Clinical Technologist license or a histotechnologist license. OPEN to hiring Medical Technicians.

Job Responsibilities Include

In the AM, the candidate will conduct cytology prep work. they are expected to process about 40 Non-GYN samples a day while working in Cytology. The 2nd half of the job is in the molecular department where they will be using Panthers to process samples

• Cytology prep includes working with urine and doing sample pour offs, making slides, make assays, etc.

• Accession from time to time (they have a lab aide to help out),

• Molecular work consisting of running samples on Panther.

• Sets-up and performs a variety of routine and/or complex laboratory tests and procedures relevant to the particular lab area and personal qualifications. Prepares and tests specimens for examination and reports results.

• Follows established in-process quality control procedures including recording data.

• Performs routine and/or preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment.

• Troubleshoots basic instrumentation, culture media, chemicals, reagents, stains, solutions, technical problems and methodologies.

Skills

• Medical technologist, ASCP, NY license, MLT, clinical technologist, molecular, cytology

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Must have a valid NY state Medical Technologist, Clinical Technologist or Histotechnologist license. A Medical or Clinical technician license will work as well.

• ASCP certificate is a plus.
