Cutter/Grinder Operator (CNC)

Adecco's Permanent Recruitment team is assisting a large manufacturing company in Middlesex county, Connecticut. We are looking for experienced Cutter/ Grinder Operators. This is a full time direct hire ( Permanent) job opportunity. IF interested please APPLY now!

Position Title: Cutter/ Grinder Operator

Pay Rate Range: $18- $24/hr. depending on experience

Schedule(s)/Hours 2nd Shift (4:30 pm- 12:00 am) Shift differential

Location: Portland, CT

Responsibilities Include:

• Responsible for sharpening various types of milling cutters, drills, taps or turning tools as required, manufacturing special form relieved cutters, maintaining inventory of cutter grinding supplies.

• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.

• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques to maximize the effective manufacture of distribution of goods.

• Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

• Watches gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Knowledge of GD&T beneficial

• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills, analytical and shop math skills, as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Ability to use measuring equipment - calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, depth gauges, & size blocks.

• Must be detail oriented and meticulous and have excellent communication skills.

• Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.

• Needs the ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time.

• Analyzing Information, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures

Qualifications Include:

• High School degree or equivalent

• 1 to 5 yrs. of experience
