    Construction Worker / Trainee - Clinton IA

    Job Type: full-time, hourly

    Pay Rate: $18.75 - $34.00 Starting pay is dependent on skills & background

    Shift(s) Available: Day Shift - Monday thru Thursday, 10 hour days. Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, and on occasion different shifts with advance notice as needed.

    Skilled Trainee:

    Train in a craft position including electrician, pipefitter/welder, millwright, civil (concrete, mason, carpenter), sheet metal worker, crane operator and painter. Acquire knowledge and skills and apply them in the building and repair of facilities, and installation of equipment in the specific craft area.

    Skilled Worker:

    • Upcoming crafts to be hired include electrician, pipefitter/welder, millwright, civil (concrete, mason, carpenter), sheet metal worker, crane operator and painter as needed.

    • Apply knowledge and skills in the building and installation of buildings and equipment in the specific craft area.

    • Continued development of knowledge and skills in craft.

    • Willingness to take ownership/accountability for their actions, promote a positive atmosphere and be a part of a team environment.

    Job Requirements:

    • Promotes the ADM Way and Core Values

    • Strong safety performance and strong safety values

    • Significant experience in the use of power tools

    • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision

    • Flexibility in accepting change

    • Communication (spoken and written) and teamwork skills

    • Reliability in reporting to work; willingness to work overtime as required

    • Willingness to participate in training to continue developing skills

    • Direct industrial experience or high exposure to industrial work preferred

    • High school diploma or equivalent with strong fundamental skills (math, reading, writing)

    • Knowledge of ADM-Clinton plant - a strong plus

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. walk long distances, stand for long periods, climb stairs and ladders, work at heights and confined spaces.
