  • Grant funded: As a grant funded employee, you will be considered a Baystate Health employee with the following stipulations:

    • Your employment is contingent upon future funding of the grant. If the funding for a specified grant ends, the Talent Acquisition Office will work closely with you to assist you with employment, however, Baystate Health cannot guarantee continued employment.

    • The grant employee will receive wage increases in accordance with regular Baystate Health policy and practice unless the grant cannot fund the entire increase. In these situations, any adjustments will be made based on the resources available throughout the grant.

    The Project Coordinator for the Public Health Institute of Western Massachusetts will coordinate meetings with team members and community partners to share updates and review progress in (a) recruiting participants, (b) implementing various components of the model, (c) collecting and reporting participant-level data on a regular basis and (d) to identify concerns, opportunities and strategies for addressing barriers to health and services based on project specifics.

    The Project Coordinator will participate in planning, preparation and reporting of cross-site meetings of all stakeholders for information-sharing and group assessment of progress and concerns. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Programs and Development and project team in administrative tasks, communications, facilitation, data collection and data analysis activities.

    The Project Coordinator will have strong disciplinary and communications skills, knowledge of community resources, facilitation skills, research and evaluation knowledge and be grounded in the community. Project Coordinator responsibilities include

    1) administration

    Job Responsibilities:

    1) Administration Duties:

    Review information collected on project. Meeting preparation, facilitation, and follow up with partners, community members, families, significant stakeholders and service providers as needed. Collect and report project outreach, training, and communications data on a regular basis. Identify concerns, opportunities, and strategies for addressing barriers to health, program participation and services. Work closely with the Director of Programs and Development on data collection and data analysis related to project activities and communications. Provide data management support for partner programs.

    2) Communications and Project Management Duties:

    Utilize material from evaluation and information from other team members to develop plans. Communicate as necessary with community agencies and providers to explain progress towards goals. Consult with other project stakeholders to facilitate communication and effectiveness of program. Track communications and other efforts, including contact lists, participation, etc. Revise the plan through ongoing assessments of progress and new information.

    3) Networking Duties:

    Build strong relationships within the community to expand health initiatives and communications reach. Break down silos; prevent duplication of services; develop sustainable replicable program and share information on projects and activities across networks.

    Required Work Experience:

    1) Coordination of service agencies/ Community based programs/ Needs assessment and data collection

    2) Experience in health education programs; environmental health or education; healthy homes; climate resilience; population health or behavior; public health or other community activities.

    3) Communications, including social media, newsletters and flyers.

    Preferred Work Experience:

    Skills and Competencies:

    1) Bi-lingual (Spanish) strongly preferred
