    Description

    JOB SUMMARY:

    To perform a wide variety of production utilizing CNC machines. Operate general equipment, hand tools, and perform general processes to produce aircraft propeller parts and blades.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Works from a variety of media and program documentation.

    • Operates and adjusts CNC Mill and Lathe, 3-Axis - 4 Axis CNC Machines.

    • Observe and operate computer while testing or processing programs.

    • Sets up and maintains precise tool configurations to include altering tool offsets

    • Mount and check the condition of cutting and drilling tools in holders to prevent production errors.

    • Uses precision measuring instruments and gauges to check and set cutting tools.

    • Work directly with the EEDS system. (Electronic Engineering Drawing System) and the DNC Down load system.

    • Daily use of overhead crane

    • Develop written records of serial numbers.

    • Responsible for own work only.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION:

    · Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.

    • Ability to read complex blueprints and drawings, advanced shop math and knowledge of aircraft manufacturing principles

    EXPERIENCE:

    · CNC Machining experience is preferred.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Excellent problem-solving skills.

    • Action oriented and takes on challenges.

    • No instructions needed on routine work and general instructions given on new lines of work or special assignments.

    • Will be required to follow all safety guidelines for procedures and equipment, and actively participate in daily ergonomic stretching exercises.

    • Physically able to lift and push/pull heavy items.
