We are seeking a CNC Machinist for an aerospace company in East Granby. The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience setting up and operating CNC Milling machines and Turning machines. Knowledge and experience of the aerospace industry is a plus. Ability to use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and swing gauges is required.

salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 7 AM - 4 PM

education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

Ability to run 3, 4 and 5 axis milling and/or turning machines

Ability to work with hard metals such as Inconel, Titanium and Stainless Steel

Ability to read English and interpret symbols on operation sheets

Ability to load parts and fixtures onto hoists and operate hoist to load part onto machine

Ability to read and interpret CNC Programs at the machine

Must be able to read tool sheets and set up tools for use on a job or part

Ability to use precision measuring tools such as gauges, swing gauges, calipers, and micrometers

Familiarity with operation of Right-Angle Heads

Must possess the ability to work within tight tolerances such as thousandths
