    Job Summary and Qualifications

    Provides expertise for operational initiatives for surgical services. The position will be responsible for building the organizational systems, processes and talent that support and enable achievement of the Surgical Services strategic agenda. This role requires up to 75% travel.

    Major Responsibilities:

    -Execute surgical services operational agenda across organization.

    -Support efforts and/or offer subject matter expertise in developing enterprise strategies related to things such as: reducing length of stay, patient experience, improving efficiencies in patient care delivery, market share analysis, design and construction, and evolving business and clinical analytics.

    -Identifies, assists in development and maintaining tools and resources that address performance

    -Assist in development of evidence-based patient safety and quality improvement strategies and initiatives.

    -Provide expertise to multidisciplinary groups at the corporate, division and facility level to ensure key operational initiatives are in alignment with organizational priorities.

    -Through data analysis, identify highest-value opportunities to proposed solutions to operational workflow and barriers.

    -Develops, manages and monitors overall operations for Surgical Services.

    -Provides assistance with data analytics for development of business strategies.

    -Ensure that ongoing operational improvements reflect best practices and/or address actual and potential system vulnerabilities.

    -Develop tools and resources for facility and division leadership/staff to further support safe and effective care delivery and provide efficient through put.

    -Review and trend data to identify and resolve potential system vulnerabilities.

    -Provide assists in organizational planning and implementation of technology and automation systems.

    -Identify key process opportunities in surgical services during assigned assessments, and offer solutions to assist facility with action plan development.

    -Maintain effective communication with corporate, division, and facility leadership teams

    -Facilitate education, research and other professional activities.

    -Partner with vendors to ensure operational initiative alignment.

    -Attend meetings and participate in committees as required.

    -Practice and adhere to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement"

    -Continue professional development.

    -Effectively manage personal project work.

    Education & Experience:

    -Master's degree Nursing or Business Administration preferred

    -Bachelor's Degree Nursing required

    -3+ years of experience in hospital or surgical services operations leadership required

    -5+ years of experience in hospital or surgical services operations required

    -Registered Nurse - Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation preferred
