    Job Description:

    Seeking highly qualified professional to lead and expand CDM Smith's existing portfolio with the federal Civilian agencies including International Water and Boundary Commission (IBWC), Department of Interior (U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. National Parks Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) primarily in the South Pacific and Northwestern Divisions. As a full-service firm, CDM Smith has been serving the U.S. Government for over 30 years and holds multiple contract vehicles to provide planning, studies, engineering, design, and construction. The successful candidate will foster growth by aligning CDM Smith's core competencies with those federal agencies priorities and funding.

    We are open to filling this position with someone located in the Mountain or Pacific time zone regions of the United States.

    As a Client Service Leader (CSL), you will be responsible continued growth and diversification of the services we offer to these clients to include planning, engineering, construction, and digital solutions. As a member of our high-performing team, you will contribute to CDM Smith's federal mission by:

    • Serving as the client-facing representative by keeping attune to agency initiatives, budgeting, programming, legislation, and organizational changes.

    • Identifying and developing new business opportunities with IBWC, DOI (multiple agencies), USACE (South Pacific and Northwestern Divisions) and other federal civilian agencies that allows CDM Smith to expand and diversify the service offerings to include planning, engineering, construction and digital solutions.

    • Leading internal strategic business development efforts such as client or market strategic plans.

    • Lead or participate in office meetings, capabilities presentations, webinars, etc..

    • Possessing and growing an established business network (client decision-makers and teaming partners).

    • Serving as capture manager for proposal efforts to include managing and communicating amongst a diverse team of technical experts and marketing professionals.

    • Engaging with Program and Project Managers that will result in the delivery of quality projects that meet scope, schedule, budget and quality commitments to maintain client satisfaction.

    • Maintaining awareness of federal marketplace related to business opportunities, including competitors, partners, and subcontractors/subconsultants.

    • Contributing to firm's stature by actively participating in leadership roles in professional societies and associations.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree.

    • 15 years of related experience.

    • Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

    • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous experience leading programs and/or winning business for water/facilities projects with; Department of Interior, Bureau of reclamation, and/or USACE Civil Works South Pacific/Northwestern Divisions.

    • Bachelors degree in Engineering.

    • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), American Institute of Architects (AIA), or other recognized registration.

    Pay Range Minimum:

    $127,878

    Pay Range Maximum:

    $217,402

    Additional Compensation:

    All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.

    Work Location Options:

    Fully Remote or Hybrid Work Options may be considered for successful candidate.
