    Aids in the day to day execution of material support requirements to meet all contractual specifications for vehicle production support.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Prepares and issues Request for Quote (RFQ) to incorporate technical, quality, contractual and schedule requirements properly into RFQ under the guidance of a Buyer.

    • Complies with internal company and government requirements through documentation per Line of Business (LOB) processes.

    • Assists in the tracking and management of up-to-date supplier information and certification, to avoid delays in order processing by buyers.

    • Supports the buyers in managing Purchase Order documentation updates/revision requirements, as well as follow-ups with suppliers for order acknowledgment and delivery status information.

    • Aids in the tactical processes related to contract proposal efforts

    • Support the prompt closeout activities for completed orders and contracts.

    • Share responsibility for total supplier quality and delivery performance at the best value.

    • Participates on commodity teams to assist with day-to-day tactical execution of tasks.

    • Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.

    • Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    Required Education

    • High School diploma

    Required Skills

    • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.

    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

    • Sound interpersonal skills used when interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with company personnel, customers, and suppliers.

    • Ability to use computers to prepare appropriate reports and documents.

    • Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

    • Ability to develop/demonstrate research and presentation skills.

    • Ability to develop and maintain professional and dependable relationships with internal and external customers.

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    • Prefer prior experience as a Purchasing Assistant with relevant applications in a defense contractor environment

    • Experience using Oracle or an MRP/ERP system

    Pay Information

    Full-Time Salary Range: $41900 - $67000

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
