    BAE Systems has an opening for a Business Operations Manager to assist the Intelligence and Security Sector's Air and Space Force Solutions Strategic Systems Business Unit reach goals and objectives related to sales, productivity, profitability, and industry penetration among other areas. This position works directly for the Vice President of Programs in the Strategic Systems business area. Successful candidates will:

    • Demonstrate the ability to prepare project execution plans and identify technical and business resources needed.

    • Review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports for the Strategic Systems Business unit.

    • Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

    • Supervise multiple staff members in areas of facilities, procurement, contract deliverables, training, business continuity, business development and travel management

    • Develop financial plans for assigned contract line items and act as an independent cost center manager

    • Formulate business policy, plan for resource needs, manage facility requirements, assist in setting the overall business direction and implement strategies

    • Manage the overhead pool budget and the community investment/employee engagement processes

    • Develop all external and internal reporting/briefing products

    • Manage the allocation and training of business unit personnel to support BD/Capture efforts

    • Maintain cognizance of corporate capabilities to identify best supporting team for capture efforts

    • Support BD/Capture efforts as directed (material development, proposal coordination, reviewing, etc).

    • Author and manage strategic communication activities for the Business Unit. Interface with higher level communications teams to support larger communications initiatives as required for marketing material development

    • Manage the executive schedule and prepare attendees ahead of meetings with industry, organizations, potential partners, etc.

    • Develop and execute plans to support working groups, conferences and distinguished visitors

    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

    This position is full time on site at Hill AFB, UT.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience.

    • Firm understanding of budgets, military culture and acquisition processes, prior people management experience.

    • Able to work independently and demonstrate strong initiative and an ability to organize assigned daily tasks and the tasks of subordinates with no supervision.

    • Possess strong communication skills (oral and written) as well as the ability to interact with team members, external vendors, various levels of management and internal clients with assorted levels of computer experience.

    • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    • Knowledge of USAF/USSF client organizational structures.

    • DoD experience at the Major Command and/or Department Headquarters levels.

    • MBA, PMP certification, Capture/Business Winning, or other related management experience.

    • Experience with technical project management.

    Pay Information

    Full-Time Salary Range: $92520 - $157320

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
