Bookkeeper

Description

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper to join a growing team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in the financial health of this organization by providing timely and accurate financial information for decision-making purposes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software and spreadsheets.

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.

• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.

• Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Monitor and analyze financial transactions to identify discrepancies or irregularities.

• Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory forms.

• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.

• Stay up-to-date on accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero, and MS Excel.

• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

• Relevant certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) is a plus.
