    Who will you be working with?

    As a member of our Corporate Benefits team, you will be working with all levels of employees, HR, and management to administer Wabtec's benefits programs. You will also be working with internal and external benefit partners to ensure Wabtec benefit plans are administered effectively.

    How will you make a difference?

    As a member of the benefits team, you will be responsible for assisting with the administration and operations of group benefit programs. This position provides excellent customer service and is attentive to detail. This role will provide technical assistance and support to all US employees and Human Resource Managers. You will manage the exchange of information with insurance carriers and consultants for claim and utilization data, enrollment information for reporting and billing purposes.

    What do we want to know about you?

    • Bachelor's degree and three to five years of related benefits or employee benefits administration experience or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job.

    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite with an emphasis in Excel.

    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

    • Strong analytical skills.

    • Experience with HRIS systems required Workday experience preferred.

    • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP and CEBS professional designations preferred.

    Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including PowerPoint; experience with HRIS and benefits databases.

    • Project management skills and experience.

    • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.

    • Effective planning and priority setting. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.

    • Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designs.

    • Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation.

    • Excellent communication and organization skills.

    What will your typical day look like?

    • Answer and assist with the resolution of employee benefit inquiries according to benefit policies and procedures.

    • Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

    • Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.

    • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.

    • Prepares and distributes 1095-Cs

    • Coordinate daily benefits processing. Handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, QDROs, QMCSOs, distributions, loans, hardships, and compliance testing.

    • Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files in Workday and with benefit carriers.

    • Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings and the preparation of vouchers for payment of administrative fees for all group plans.

    • Analyze current benefits, evaluating the use, services, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience and competitive trends in benefits programs.

    • Perform plan audits. Prepare, collect, and organize data for actuarial assessments. Review data in conjunction with actuarial evaluation task forces.

    • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers.

    • Delivers presentations such as new hire orientation.

    • Participates in working sessions partnering with various subject matter experts such as payroll, HRIT, HRIS for continuous improvement initiatives.

    What about the physical demands of the job?

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

    You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
