Summary:
Meta seeks a highly motivated attorney who is enthusiastic about technology and its potential for positive impact in peoples' lives to join Meta's Reality Labs Privacy Legal Team. The ideal candidate will provide privacy legal support for Reality Labs Research, XR products and experiences, and will have significant cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, policy, operations, and business teams, as well as other legal subject matter experts. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing legal team and to work on novel issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment, as we build and scale for our global community.
Required Skills:
Associate General Counsel, Privacy (Reality Labs) Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in areas of data use and privacy laws globally and advise on the impact of the same on Facebook's business
Assist product lawyers in evaluating the impact of privacy laws, regulatory guidance and enforcement actions
Support members of the business and policy teams on privacy related community and business integrity issues
Assist in the development and conduct of general and role-specific privacy trainings across Facebook
Minimum Qualifications:

J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US state bar
8+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house experience
Experience advising on privacy legal risks and mitigations, with working knowledge of relevant privacy laws including CCPA and/or GLBA
Experience using business judgment and client counseling experience

Experience explaining topics and gaining support and consensus from multiple stakeholders
Working knowledge of XR, AR, and/or VR privacy issues
In-house experience with applicable litigation, regulatory, or product counseling, particularly at a technology or gaming company
