Summary:
Facebook is seeking a talented attorney to join the Privacy Legal team and advise the company on a range of cutting-edge privacy, data protection, and security-related legal and compliance initiatives as part of its global privacy program.The Associate General Counsel, Privacy role is broad and, among other things, involves advising clients on various legal risks and obligations under global privacy laws. You will help drive high-profile cross-functional initiatives across the business involving a variety of complex legal and/or regulatory issues relating to third party risk management. This requires strong business acumen, a substantive knowledge of global privacy laws and the ability to both work independently and with large multi-stakeholder teams. Required Skills:
Associate General Counsel, Privacy Programs Responsibilities:
Manage and advise on Facebook's global privacy program, including developing and improving privacy frameworks and processes to ensure we meet our obligations under the program
Support product lawyers in evaluating impact of privacy laws, regulatory guidance and enforcement actions, and other related guidelines on new and existing products and features
Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in areas of data use and protection laws and advising the impact of the same on Facebook's business
Support members of the Legal, Partnerships, Policy and Privacy teams on privacy and security-related legal matters, including in areas related to product development, partnerships, integrations, and other business development opportunities
Evaluate the impact of legislative, regulatory, legal developments and industry proposals involving privacy and security across Facebook's services and companies
Drive high-profile and high-impact projects involving privacy analysis and compliance with stakeholders across Facebook's business including Policy, Legal, Communications, Security, and other departments
Develop regulatory strategy with global privacy regulators in connection with new product features and initiative
Minimum Qualifications:

J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US state bar
8+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house experience
Experience with global privacy laws, regulations, privacy programs and industry guidelines
Experience with litigation, regulatory, or product counseling

Demonstrated expertise in privacy and data issues arising in one or more privacy areas such as data sharing, security, advertising, products or privacy program implementation/management
Experience using business judgment and with client counseling

Experience advancing projects in a multi-stakeholder environment
