    Manages the documentation and closing needs of a diverse, complex portfolio of commercial banking transactions.

    As our AVP Commercial Loan Closer you will

    • Review approved credit for terms and financial components

    • Complete system and due diligence reviewS

    • Drafts documentation in accordance with approved credit terms

    • Identifies potential problems and solutions in the loan closing process and work with the business line to resolve and mitigate any operational or legal risk issues

    • As necessary, engages and directs outside lending counsel to prepare loan documents in accordance with policy and credit standards

    • Close all loans in compliance with established procedures includining

    • Loan funding and booking

    • Ensuring all fees and expenses are accurate,documented, and collected

    • Making certain that bank security interests are properly perfected.

    For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $71,400.00 and $107,000.00

    The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

    Qualifications

    You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

    • Paralegal certificate or Bachelor's degree in business, related field or equivalent experience

    • Minimum of eight years proven and progressive commercial loan closing experience with a bank or other financial institution, including experience closing commercial syndicated loans

    • Strong knowledge of commercial loan documentation, risk management and commercial loan products, servicing principles for commercial loans and pertinent state laws governing commercial mortgages

    • Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators

    • Strong communications, analytical, decision-making, organizational, follow-up and customer service skills

    • Ability to evaluate, assess and mitigate risk inherent to closing process as well as ensuring adherence to banking regulations and policies and procedures while recognizing the unique, individualized nature of each commercial real estate transaction, particularly syndications

    • Attention to detail and ability to evaluate situations and work independently to develop a solution is critical
