Assistant Controller

We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join our dynamic team. This individual will work with a team of professional staff to complete organization-wide strategic goals through management of accounting operations. We are looking for candidates with the ability to participate in spirited trade off discussions, who find excitement in ambiguity, and who have a passion for mentoring, developing, and motivating staff! Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work in a remote, multi-disciplinary team are crucial for success in this role. This position will report to the Sr. Director - Global Controller and will have direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead global process for monthly, quarterly, and annual close and reporting with continuous improvement and implementation of best practices

• Strategize, plan, and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness, and meet internal control requirements

• Maintain company's SOX and internal controls environment

• Manage third party service providers to ensure compliance with various jurisdictional tax laws

• Liaise with external auditors and coordinate audit projects

• Partner with IT in administration of company's accounting software

• Coach accounting and finance team members to foster continuous improvement mentality

• Advise cross-functionally on accounting impact of and to operational issues

• Mentor team members to continue building extraordinary finance team

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA preferred.

• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience required with increasing responsibility

• People management experience required

• Operate in a way that never compromises ethics and integrity

• Experience with ERP, reconciliation, and consolidation software

• Minimum 3 years of experience with continuous improvement methodologies, such as Fortive Business System (FBS), Six Sigma, Lean or Agile

National: The salary range for this position is $109,500 - $203,500

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
