    ARCO Murray Design is a small team with a large footprint and our portfolio is diverse to facilitate innovative thinking. We are seeking a key member who is passionate about the design/build process to join our in-house architectural/interior design team. This position is based in our Chicago office with a focus on tenant improvement and hospitality project types. Most of our clients are top-of-class competitive socializing concepts from across the world. We work with their founders and creative designers to bringer their vision to life in the U.S. through bridging the creative with a cost-conscious design-build approach.

    A DAY IN THE LIFE

    • Responsible for all aspects of architectural design, ranging from concept development throughdocumentation (specific phases or deliverables needed vary by project)

    • Design test fits and preliminary space plans with our Design Build Project Managers

    • Develop and lead presentation review calls with clients

    • Work closely with clients and Project Managers to develop schematic and design dev. level drawings

    • Design lighting and FF&EE packages that align with client's brand

    • Conduct code study, zoning, life safety, occupancy and plumbing requirements

    • Create 3D views, renders and interior fly-through videos for clients

    • Coordinate design cost with in-house construction PMs to ensure selections are within budget

    • Communicate with MEP and other trades to coordinate design intent and avoid clashes

    • Be a problem solver for all things design related and assist PMs in bringing the client's vision to life

    • Effectively organize, plan, and manage multiple projects simultaneously

    • Commit to quality by self-reviewing work and ensuring it meets professional standards

    • Collaborate in building the team's capabilities. This could be enhancing Revit families, developingrendering tools, streamlining finish selections - endless possibilities, what can you bring to the team?

    • Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and other associates,while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations

    NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

    • Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design

    • 5-8 years of professional experience

    • Excellent programming and space planner

    • Basic understanding of building code

    • Comfortable presenting to clients

    • Proficient in Revit, Rendering Software (Enscape or Lumion preferred) and Photoshop
