  • Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This role is primarily focused on the function of an Accounts Receivable Specialist, embedded within the finance department. The workplace will revolve around a collaborative team environment, where the primary focus will be on managing accounts receivable, utilizing SAP system expertise, and ensuring thorough recordkeeping and reporting.

    Responsibilities

    • Engage in consistent communication and follow-ups with customers to collect overdue accounts in a timely manner.

    • Utilize effective negotiation skills to resolve outstanding payment issues.

    • Accurately apply payments to customer accounts and reconcile any discrepancies.

    • Ensure proper coding and allocation of payments within the accounting system.

    • Utilize proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems for efficient processing of accounts receivable transactions.

    • Extract and analyze relevant data to support collection efforts and financial reporting.

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and collections activities.

    • Generate reports on accounts receivable status and provide insights into collection performance.

    • Adhere to all workplace safety and security protocols.

    • Collaborate effectively with the finance team. Requirements - Proficiency in utilizing SAP software for financial operations and reporting.

    • Solid understanding and experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR).

    • Experience in B2B collections, demonstrating strong negotiation and communication skills.

    • Expertise in Cash Applications, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments.

    • Ability to generate and analyze Aging Reports to monitor outstanding balances and ensure timely debt recovery.

    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

    • Relevant professional certification (e.g., Certified Accounts Receivable Specialist) is an advantage.
