    As an Accounts Receivable Specialist with a focus on heavy collections, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health of organization. (non automotive manufacturing) Your primary responsibility will be managing accounts receivable functions with a focus on timely collections from customers. Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential for this role, as you'll utilize the platform extensively for recording transactions, generating reports, and communicating with stakeholders.

    Responsibilities

    • Collections Management:

    • Implement and execute collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts and improve cash flow.

    • Proactively contact customers via phone, email, and mail to secure payments for outstanding invoices.

    • Negotiate payment plans and settlements with delinquent accounts while maintaining positive relationships with customers.

    • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate stakeholders for further action.

    • Accounts Receivable Processing:

    • Record all sales transactions accurately in QuickBooks, ensuring proper classification and documentation.

    • Generate and send invoices to customers in a timely manner, including any necessary supporting documentation.

    • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and prioritize collections efforts accordingly.

    • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.

    • Customer Communication:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to billing, payments, and account balances.

    • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.

    • Provide regular updates to customers regarding their account status and outstanding balances.

    • Reporting and Analysis:

    • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable aging, collection performance, and cash flow projections.

    • Analyze collection trends and identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address root causes of overdue accounts and implement corrective actions.

    • Compliance and Documentation:

    • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements related to accounts receivable.

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of collection activities, correspondence with customers, and payment arrangements.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

    • Proven experience (3) in accounts receivable management, with a focus on collections.

    • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software required.

    • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.

    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.

    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.

    Requirements - Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

    • Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

    • Knowledge of Billing procedures

    • Familiarity with Cash Applications

    • Skilled in Cash Collections

    • Understanding of Commercial Collections

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

    • Experience with QuickBooks software

    • Ability to generate and interpret Aging Reports.
