  • Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This position will be based in Lansing, Michigan. The role will involve working with accounting software systems, ERP solutions, and Microsoft Excel to perform a range of accounting functions, including accounts receivable and cash activity. This is a contract employment opportunity.

    Responsibilities

    • Utilize accounting software systems and ERP solutions to accurately process customer credit applications

    • Maintain customer credit records to ensure they are up-to-date and accurate

    • Use Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze data related to accounts receivable

    • Perform various accounting functions, such as billing and check processing, to ensure smooth financial operations

    • Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions to collect delinquent payments

    • Work with the SAP system to manage customer portals and ensure all financial data is accurate

    • Collaborate with other team members to resolve customer credit inquiries and issues

    • Regularly review and update financial records to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

    • Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes and improve financial efficiency

    • Support other team members with ad-hoc projects related to accounts receivable and other accounting functions. Requirements - Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

    • Experience with ERP Solutions

    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

    • Familiarity with Accounting Functions

    • Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)

    • Knowledge of Billing Functions

    • Experience handling Cash Activity

    • Familiarity with Check Processing

    • Experience using Customer Portal

    • Proficiency in SAP

    • Prior experience in a manufacturing industry

    • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Detail-oriented and highly organized

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

    • Relevant certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.
