Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Dallas, Texas. The successful candidate will be working in a dynamic environment, focusing on handling accounting functions, particularly in accounts payable and check processing. The role also involves proficiency in accounting software systems, including but not limited to Great Plains (GPAC), IBM AS/400, and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.

Responsibilities

• Handle the full cycle of accounts payable functions from invoice processing to payment

• Ensure accurate and timely data entry of payable information

• Manage and regularly update the company's accounting software systems

• Resolve any discrepancies in invoices and payment, ensuring the accuracy of accounts payable ledger

• Use software systems like Great Plains (GPAC), IBM AS/400, and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne for various accounting functions

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for maintaining and analyzing financial data

• Regularly monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate actions for delinquent payments

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and resolve customer credit inquiries

• Contribute to the overall efficiency of the accounting department by performing other related duties as assigned. Requirements - Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC)

• Experience with IBM AS/400

• Proficient in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in performing Accounting Functions

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in Check Processing

• Excellent Data Entry skills

• Ability to handle and resolve Discrepancies
