Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are providing an opportunity for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky. In this role, you will be part of our finance team, focusing on invoice processing and maintaining accurate financial records. This role offers a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently process invoices and maintain updated records of accounts payable.

• Collaborate with the team to manage the increasing invoice count.

• Coordinate with team members and contribute to team objectives.

• Utilize tools such as Concur to streamline accounts payable processes.

• Arrange travel arrangements as needed for team members.

• Assist with other accounts payable-related tasks as assigned.

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to financial data processing standards.

• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to resolve any payment discrepancies.

• Proactively identify process improvements in the accounts payable workflow.

• Manage and resolve customer inquiries related to accounts payable. Requirements - Demonstrable expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures

• Proficiency in using Concur software for expense management

• Experience in coordinating travel arrangements for staff members

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in accounting or related field preferred.
