  • OVERVIEW

    One of Aston Carter's clients is seeking an Accounting Manager to manage the Client Accounting and Advisory Services department. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's clients are provided the best experience possible. You will manage a team of accountants and client service support team, while also ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent leadership skills, assertive, and a passion for delivering high-quality client service.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing insightful financial guidance and solutions tailored to each client's situation.

    • Communicating between clients and business development to ensure engagement objectives are met by all parties.

    • Ensure accounting team is meeting with clients regularly and meetings held are effective.

    • Identify opportunities to expand services and engage clients in value-added discussions.

    • Lead high value client engagements.

    • Recognize, respond to, and solve client problems.

    • Resolving conflicts or complaints from clients.

    • Lead and manage a team of accountants and client service support personnel.

    • Hiring, training, motivating and coaching accounting team in providing attentive, efficient services to clients.

    • Assessing accounting team for performance.

    • Assign tasks, set goals, and ensure timely completion of client deliverables.

    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

    • Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.

    • Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance and minimize financial risks for our clients.

    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and value creation within our firm and for our clients.

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Candidate must live in the state of Florida (Necessary for key client meetings)

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

    • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager in a CPA firm or similar accounting firm environment

    • Must have experience working directly with clients

    • Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting standards

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Proficient in financial analysis and reporting tools

    • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems

    • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities
