In the position of Project Engineer, you will oversee customized job portfolios for your customers. Your principle requirements will be to receive the RFQ from customers and other prospects, generate the quotations and flow information to Production for the fulfillment of the orders. This work involves constant communication with customers, prospects, and colleagues by both phone and e-mail. As a project engineer, you will manage expectations, convey Stratasys capabilities and limitations, generate competitive bids, provide status updates, offer technical guidance, and prevent or resolve project-related issues. Other duties and responsibilities are:
Interface with the customer to establish a fit between customer requirements and production capabilities and make recommendations for the customer product development and manufacturing methods
Utilize knowledge in all additive manufacturing processes
Educate customers on Stratasys technology offerings and solutions
Review and verify customer contracts for acceptance and negotiate changes as needed
Provide technical requirements and definitions for all projects; communicate with Operations to ensure successful execution; conduct Risk Management meetings
As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
High School Diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, project management, or manufacturing experience
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment for aerospace, medical, oil & gas, or related industries
Understanding of manufacturing processes, CAD, and manufacturing software
Ability to read 2D drawings
Basic comprehension of GD&T and design intent
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar technical field
Experience with project management skills and project leadership
Experience in 3D printing technologies, manufacturing methods, quoting practices, and contract/engineering drawing review
Prior experience with various manufacturing methods such as CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, vacuum forming, etc.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: local travel between locations
