  • Overview

    The DevOps Engineer will develop tools and processes according to architectural guidelines with little oversight by senior members of the team, identify weaknesses in our tooling that will drive changes to the overall architecture, and work as a liaison to development and operations teams. In this role, the engineer will work collaboratively with teams to deploy and operate our systems. Help automate and streamline our operations and processes. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations and troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test and production environments.

    Responsibilities

    •DevOps roles can involve a myriad of projects, such as: enhancing and streamlining development and operational processes though automation and integration; modifying existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or to improve performance; analyzing user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.•Test implemented designs Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning Handle code deployments in all environments.•Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve.•Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations.•Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improvement development delivery.•Consult with peers for feedback during testing stages.•Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards.•Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects Manage CI and CD tools with team.•Document and design various processes; update existing processes.

    Qualifications

    •BS/BA degree in a related field and/or comparable industry related experience required.•5 - 7 years of related industry experience working preferably in an Agile environment.•3+ years managing Engineering systems as a DevOps or Systems Administrator•Experience with Engineering systems such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, Bitbucket or GitHub•Experience with virtualization and containerization preferably with Docker, VMWare, Kubernetes and Azure DevOps.•Experience using Agile/Scrum development methodology•Strong coding experience with Python, Ruby, Java or other scripting language•Strong background in Linux/Unix Networking and Administration•Expertise using cloud services like AWS or Azure.
